About Me

ABOUT SHARON

I am a qualified Professional Relationship Coach with over 19 years' experience working with families. Originally from England, I moved to beautiful New Zealand in, August 2000. I have been fortunate to have lived and worked in 4 different countries and this has given me a global perspective on life.

I have personally experienced, and discovered through others, that when there are difficulties in your relationships, life just does not seem to work and the world is not a joyful place to be. Relationship difficulties impact on your overall sense of self, emotional well-being and happiness. I love making a positive difference in people's lives, and what better way than supporting people to find their ideal partner and to develop loving relationships!

I continuously strive to develop my knowledge and skills, personally and professionally. I am a qualified Social Worker, a Graduate of the Advanced Couples and Singles Coaching programs through Relationship Coaching Institute (RCI), and have been awarded a Diploma in Professional Coaching (NZQA) to formalize my Coaching skills and knowledge.

I am a parent to four beautiful children aged between 10 and 27 years. I have been a full-time parent, and also a full-time working solo parent, which gave me many challenges and learning experiences along the way. As a child, I had the experience of being in a stepfamily, and as an adult, being a step-parent and all the challenges step-parenting brings. I know what it is like to attract, and be attracted to, partners who are NOT right for you. I was attracted to narcissists (mistaking narcissistic behavior as confidence) and I quickly became co-dependent in these relationships! I have experienced many difficulties and heartaches in my relationships. This includes a very difficult step-parent relationship, which was extremely challenging, and yes, resulted in a re-divorce!

It has been on a long road of self-discovery, which included facing my part in the relationship breakdowns and my fears, instead of continuously running away from them. As a result, I have become a stronger, wiser, and more grounded person. I still experience challenges and doubts when I'm dating, which is why I have my own Relationship Coach and helps me to clarify my thoughts.

With over 19 years' experience working with families, I have acquired the skills, knowledge, resources, and natural ability to support other parents to overcome their obstacles so they can experience amazing and loving relationships because I've been there, done that, 'got the t-shirt', and yes, still working my way through 'dating' AGAIN, with the support of my Relationship Coach, and you can too!
